The Grade II listed Stanage Park is a Welsh Country House, laid out by Humphry and John Adey Repton during the early 19th century. With its verdant parkland, enclosed landscaped garden, terraced lawns, woodlands, pond, and castellated house the Stanage Park is one of the most beautiful and complete structures of the country. The wooded hill slopes to the northern and southern end of the castle have enclosed the eastern terrace and the 1900’s summer house with its Arboretum is also noteworthy. The two and three storey North Wing is complemented by angle tower, rubble plinths, corbelled parapets slender glazing bars and splayed reveals. The interior of the public rooms boasts of Tudorbethan style and neoclassical hall complemented by gothic dining piece, rib vault, cornices, crossover uprights and so on.
