Paying tribute to over 6200 veterans from 35 East Tennessee counties who lost their lives serving for the military since the beginning of World War I, the monument has 32 granite pylons that are 9 feet high.
Each pylon contains 220 names of the people who lost their lives.
A 27-foot high bell tower that bears the Four Essential Freedoms on the four sides of the tower, is another one of the features of the memorial.

God bless those who gave all.
Thinking of our Vets on this 75th Anniversary of D Day. THANK YOU!!
Not a very inspiring memorial as far as statuary and construction, but gets the point across.
