  • Perfect spot for a quick visit. The folks in the Visitors Center will show you a map with all the trails. For first time visitors, take the short 1-mile hike to the board walk. Beautiful hike through the woods then the board walk is right along the Tennessee River. Slightly hilly, but mostly flat and mild walk.

  • I just love this place. Sometimes we take a power hike through one of the trails. Another time we might casually stroll to see the sunset over the water. The hummingbird Festival is one of the highlights of my year. We bring families here when they come to visit us from out of town. I get great nature pictures from all different spots.

  • Awesome park! My dog loves going here, very dog friendly. It is always so clean and there is never to many bugs. The swimming query is nice and relaxing. There is plenty of amazing views, and if you are there long enough you can see some wildlife too. I loved watching the beaver building his dam down by the river bank. Nice place to hike and get away for the day.

  • Great hikes in a very compact area you can experience a lot of different settings. There's down by the river and up on a cliff and by a quarry. The trail network is well maintained but there's a lot of trails that have a great sense of adventure because of all the tree coverings. I don't get the sense of too much oversight and it isn't so crowded that it is annoying.

  • Huge and beautiful! If you like hiking this is a very nice place to walk and sight see. Even if you dont they have a small but neat live reptile museum at the entrance. I went here for the solar eclipse because it's such a cool spot.
