  • Beautiful place to take a nice winter hike! Lots of peace and serenity. Some of the trails are no joke either. Easy way to get a nice outdoor exercise in without driving all of the way to the Smokies.

  • Ijams is one of the best places in Knoxville. The park is huge and there's a ton to do. The trails are really nice and easy. There's a little of everything to do here and you can easily spend the whole day there.

  • Amazing outdoor nature center with river side boardwalk. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Public restrooms when open. Gift shop inside with snacks and drinks. Inside exhibits with live reptiles and fish. Turtle pond outside. Numerous events throughout the year community oriented. Can be booked as venue?

  • A gorgeous place for a picnic or afternoon walk. It’s right in town, so you don’t have to drive up into the GSMNP if you don’t have the time or inclination. The quarry is beautiful year round and there’s a nice, relatively easy trail to get a great view of it from above.

  • This place is wonderful. Knoxville needs more places like this. Great to escape the city and connect with nature. Dog friendly and a great place to bring the family.
