Herbs Massage, Ko Samui Reviews
Everytime we come to Samui we stop off at least a couple of times. An hour's foot massage with tiger balm for around 350 baht for an hour in comfy reclining chairs in an air conditioned shop while someone rubs away the ache of a day's exploring the island? Bargain.
Herbs did not disappoint on our very first Thai massage and we couldn't believe the price either! 350 for an hours Thai massage with Royal Herb Oil was well worth the money. I liked how they separated the curtains partition so it was like me and my partner were in the same room. Will definitely be returning to Herbs for seconds, thirds and maybe even fourths.
We are a couple that has been to Thailand 3 times. We have received massage in many places in Thailand, there have been only good ones or awesome ones. The massage and more importantly the treatment we received in "Herbs massage place" in KO SAMUI was the worst. The foot massage we experienced in this place consisted of lots and lots of eucalyptus creme on the feet and rubbing till we got a bad burn. It can't be counted as a massage because we felt no pressure on our feet, just rubbing of the creme and poking with sticks that lasted many many minutes without any movement. When we told the lady to please press harder not only she didn't change anything, she also told us: "it'ok for 200 baht." This is by far the crappiest thing we heard in Thailand. Before the massage we were asked if we wanted it with green balm and that it costs 100 baht more. Anywhere else in Thailand they use this balm without any additional charge. We know neither thai nor foot massage are easy and they require real effort. We respect this greatly. But maybe it can be a good idea to charge more than 200 baht and give people a real massage. This way they earn what they deserve and people who come for a massage don't feel like idiots.
