  • Good property and value for price. Staff were great. Standard double room was fine for two adults with our 4 yr old on large bed. I prefer a chair and desk to use laptop/read but design absent of these. Maybe a good thing for people who can’t relax! Pool, play items, concrete (great idea) ping pong table, outdoor massage venue, multiple pools and beach were great for recreation and leisure. Thanks! We were disappointed with a meal prepared at night time at the bar our first night. Pork chop raw near bone, mashed potato made from instant variety (flakes), cream mushroom soup tasted ONLY of milk, making that meal inedible. Thai beef salad was fine however. Spoke to on duty manager who handled our complaint very well, waiving all charge for the meals. We did not order another meal after that experience and at outside except for breakfast. Manager offered a free meal which we declined. Great thanks also to staff who handled receipt and storage of a birthday cake for our daughter without complaint for one night. Good stay for 5 days.

  • Nice outdoor area by the beach but no where near enough sun loungers for everyone, you really do have to get up early to bag one. Not happy about having to pay an extra £140 when we got here for our son to have his own bed. They expected him to share one of our twin beds despite booking clearly stating his age and booked and paid for 3 people! Bar and restaurant staff are very good.

  • Friendly and helpful staff. Awesome beach and swimming pool. Great buffet breakfast and average hotel menu. Clean, well maintained and good layout.

  • Great location. Right on the beach. Nice two different and big swimming pools. The only backdrop was the food. Breakfast was mediocre too. Service was good.

  • SMOKING is a problem here. OVER RUN by children/families. TERRIBLE beach. AVERAGE rooms. Poorly managed. EXPENSIVE extras but GREAT staff. This place goes from bad to worse the longer I stay here. Families galore, crying children and people smoke on the balconies so your non smoking room smells of smoke. Ocean is filthy and is like swimming in toxic sludge. Brutal. Also, my room smelled like sewage when I turned off the air conditioning. Forget about using the pool (the kids take it over all day). There are 3 computers in the lobby for people to use and kids take them over all day playing video games on them even to past 11pm at night. They also allow smoking on the patio of the open air restaurant and so the "non smoking" restaurant smells of smoke. The actual property is average at best, the room interior looks like a motor lodge and the food is expensive. $3 for a soda pop when you can get one across the street for about 50 cents . Small pool and very narrow beach. Half of the beach has huge boats parked there at night which block the ocean view. You can't even walk down the beach to swim as it was disgusting the whole way along. Really. I saw children approach the ocean, take one look and turn around and head back to the sand. The ocean here smells like dead fish and cat food. Gross algae floating all in the water and when you are wading out in the ocean it squishes in your toes. There are much nicer beaches here - you can take a taxi there if you wish but this one is a write off. Also, this resort has 10 beach chairs only. Again, clearly their beach does not see a lot of action. The only amenities they give you in your bathroom is soap/shampoo in a wall dispenser and a shower cap. Best use that shower cap if you want to swim in the algae filled ocean. Bangkok Airways left my luggage in Bangkok so I had no toothbrush and this place did not have any nor did they tell me I could get one near by. Literally every other hotel I have been to on this trip did (including the one in Hong Kong). Oh and there were 2 dirty cups in the bathroom. Yes, dirty. Each room comes with a small balcony which is nice except they allow smoking on the balconies and the people next door smoke on theirs which makes mine unusable. Oh, ya and any clothes I want to hang out there now get the smoke as well. Thanks Ibis. And don't ask about the price of laundry! You can have laundry done just down the street for much less. Unless they are giving away the rooms and you are a family who smokes, then I would look for somewhere else. Best part of this hotel is the staff who are fabulous. Really great. I would give them 5 stars but the property does not warrant such a rating. Again, if you are a family with kids, then come on and jump in to the already overcrowded pools but if you are travelling as a couple or alone, AVOID this one. Even their outdoor couples massage tables are right next to the pools full of families/children who are quite noisy so get your massages elsewhere. Actually, as I type this I am in my room and I can hear screaming children (and remember all my windows and doors are closed because of the smoking family next to me)..... ugh. RESPONSE TO HOTEL RESPONSE - First, I was NOT chaperoning children and yes, you might be living up to the letter of the law when it comes to smoking but I feel you could do more by eliminating smoking on the balcony and from your outside restaurant. You are hypocrites for saying the room is non smoking but allow unlimited smoking on the balconies. People like to leave their doors open in the nice weather and the smoking ruins that. You might also reserve one pool for adults only - say the one near the massage table. You could also make the computers in the lobby off limits for video game playing. Also, I did not mention the despicable way you treated my colleagues upon leaving your hotel (which was SHOCKING!) nor the way you put room charges on my room that were not mine which took about 30 minutes to sort out. This hotel could be so much better run. Until then my strong advice is to AVOID.
