John Suwan Viewpoint - Review
John-Suwan viewpoint offers a panoramic vista of the whole of Ko Tao Island and the nearby islands. The island was named after two friends Mr. John and Mr. Suwan who discovered this viewpoint commanding a view of two beaches merging with each other. One can see Chalok Ban Kaok and ThianOg Bay, one of the most beautiful places on the island. The trekking pathway is short and easy enough for the trek lovers and the serene, green valley is a must see for all the nature lovers and travellers.

John Suwan Viewpoint, Ko Tao Reviews
It's pretty and worth the climb, but a local lady wouldn't let us pass until we each gave her 50$ When we refused she got very defensive and loud before we paid. Kind of put a damper on the outing. If you start at the beach and not the parking lot area you can miss the toll I found out later.
Amazing view from the top, the little hike of 5-10 min is definitely worth it. Flip flops aren't recommended but you can still make up to the top. On the bottom there's a guy/woman that will charge you 50 baht per person for the hike. Apparently someone of that family found the place and now charges for the hike. It's still beautiful on the top though.
Great view from the top and not that hard to get to. Apparently there is a charge, but the three times I went there was noone to collect it, so even better. Can be a bit busy at the top but if you go off the beaten track and climb a few rocks you can easily find your own little place to enjoy the sunset.
Best viewpoint in Koh Tao. Absolutely jaw dropping. Would recommend wearing shoes as the trail gets pretty raw at stages so flip flops aren’t ideal. Also, there is a lady that asks for 50baht for access to the top, so be prepared for that
Very very awesome viewpoint! Has a small hike to get to it too! You gotta climb up some huge rocks as well but it was really enjoyable and the view was so incredible. Kind of a lot of people there though.
