  • We called ahead to make a reservation for a tour. Although the guide spoke only Japanese (I know only English), there were a couple videos during the tour that had English subtitles. There was also an English pamphlet. There was a free sake tasting afterwards. As usual, everyone was very nice to us foreigners and seemed happy when we practiced the little Japanese we did know. This tour is good if you happen to be in Kobe or are seeking out a sake brewing tour. Otherwise, the tour is quite short. We were grateful for the experience though!
