Cherai Beach - Review
Cherai Beach, a picturesque beach, located on the north-end of the Vypeen Island is ideal for swimming. Lined with luscious green coconut groves and paddy fields, this sandy beach is a unique combination of the sea and the backwaters, studded with seashells of various hues and shapes. Dolphins are occasionally seen here. Thick coconut groves and Chinese fishing nets on the waterfront are added attractions.

Cherai Beach, Kochi Reviews
The resort is towards the backwaters. The resort does not have its own beach but just across the street is a public beach on the Arabian sea . However, there is a nice pool and a small children's pool. The restaurant and bar are in the open air and there is also a spa and meeting rooms. The resort is not luxurious but very family oriented. This resort offers nice individual villa in a very nature like setting ,villas are scattered around the resort.
Please is good and peaceful for vacation. We enjoyed and extended our stay to 5 days though initially planned for 3 days as we saw our children enjoying each moment. On the downside we found people getting into swimming poor without a shower. We alerted management on it. Hope they take care of it.

Some villas are build over the water, some villas are on the water and other villas are scattered around the resort. The resort is towards the backwaters. Cherai Beach Resorts is exquisitely landscaped with lagoons and canals meandering in and around a number of cottages (heritage & modern) built around picturesque greenery overlooking the clean beach at the front and serene backwaters behind. Amongst these are traditional heritage Fishermen villas facing backwaters & the Modern villas fully air-conditioned and with all modern facilities. The resort is designed with love and style. Each and every detail is just perfect. Sun rises at the backwater side of the resorts – first you see a wave of crimson at the eastern horizon. As and when it approaches Cherai, it thickens to molten gold and in minutes you see it merging with the ubiquitous skies and backwaters turning everything in and around it into a maze of crimson yellowish gold. The sun sets in front of the resorts in the Arabian Sea.
Great location, right across from the beach. Friendly staff, very serene and good food. Rooms are good but the air conditioning was not working in our room. They can take better care of the rooms but overall it's a great place to stay for a few days.
