Dutch Palace Mattancherry Palace, Kochi Reviews

  • If you are a historian, you will fall in love with this place. But for a person of neutral taste, it won't give any great satisfaction. The entry fee is just 5Rs which also another good thing from a tourist's perspective.

  • Well maintained and nice place to visit. Art and designs are very good, it's not that much big palace. The museum is beautiful which shows you the Cochin history, culture as well as wall paintings. A nice palace. But there is photography not allowed.Must visit for history lovers

  • It is also known as dutch palace built by the Porthughese in 1555 and presented to the king o Cochin. Later the dutch people made certain extensions and repairs during their influence and hence the name Dutch palace. The hall of mural paintings with the story of epic Ramayana is very attractive. The royal coronation hall and dining hall are also attractive here.

  • Small palace but elegant and beautiful. Traditional too. It's associated with a temple and palace is above temple. Temple also part of it but unfortunately only Hindus can enter temple. In palace the history and a good collection if antique and various things belonged to the palace is put upon display. The entry ticket is only 5 rupees. Time from 9.30-4.30.

  • A small palace, but has all the history attached to it. All the artifacts are displayed properly inside the palace with detailed descriptions. The architecture is beautiful and the palace is cool inside. A really good place to spend some time
