  • I am writing this at 04:44 after spending an hour vomiting up the vegetable curry I had earlier on in the day (day prior). Judging by the remains of what I had previously ingested, it appears as if half the vegetables were not cooked and therefore barely digested. The rice seemed fine, didn't see much of that in the hideous pile, but I now feel awful. As you can imagine, the other end isn't as pretty either, but I'll spare you the details. I am just annoyed and disappointed. Be careful with what you eat here in India. Even if the joint looks fancy (like it does here) and is expensive with great service, it doesn't mean your food is contaminate proof. It may have been because I was the first in the restaurant, a written rule, but often dismissed in highly rated establishments. I can only give one star for the service and the setting, the missing stars for the sheer agony I've been in for the past hour... but jokes aside, please be careful. I thought I would be safe ordering a vegetable dish from this place but it caught me off guard.

  • Decent fare ... But have had a better meal at 3 Elephants in Cherai in terms of both presentation and flavor... They are very popular with the foreign tourists but one wonders why... Service is however quick, friendly and polite... The coconut balls served as a part of desert could be useful to shoot at pesky birds but didn't belong next to the coconut ice cream as they had the consistency of cannon balls...

  • Best fish restaurant in town. Nice Atmosph√§re, best service, Open all day until 22:00. Many different styles for every taste.

  • This is a super fancy joint. Bring two wallets. The kitchen is big and functional with a two way glass view into the restaurant. The washroom is clean and well stocked. The lemon ginger soda is served as it is in clubs. Tranquility is served on the side with the fish pond and the aquamarine and white colour scheme of the linen and walls. Don't fall asleep.

  • Oceanos is a very - well set restaurant. You'd find that it's a great place for people who like sea food. I would suggest you choose this only if you enjoy very selective flavours. This includes the thick Kerala rice, which are cooked plain. You will find most of the food to be very bland. For non vegetarians, you have a lot of options which includes prawn & a wide array of fish. You have to be very selective of the combo you are opting for, because tasteless rice with a dry chicken gravy can ruin your day. The factor which makes me give 3 stars is the cost. 2 plates of rice with 2 gravies will cost you about 800 bucks. That's quite a big hole in your pocket, considering the other great options you can try there. I love the decorations of this Portuguese - style restaurant though! Make sure to be sure of your culinary choices.
