Bear Shola Falls - Review
Even if Bears did come to drink water in these falls once upon a time, the gawking crowds at these majestic waterfalls would have driven them away. Now mostly a tourist attraction, the Bear Shola falls are a beautiful sight highlighting nature’s bounty that is abundant in Kodaikanal. One can choose to take a trek over the falls but only the fairly healthy and courageous must venture to do so. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Kodaikanal itinerary 2 days.

Bear Shola Falls, Kodaikanal Reviews
Place is good.. but can be cherished only if there is water in waterfall. So visiting in mid monsoon is advised. Else you may come back disappointed as there won't be any water in the waterfall.
Bear Shola falls is around 2-3 kilometers from the Kodaikanal lake and is pretty good. It is very less crowded as not many travel agency take people to this fall. Although the water flow in the falls is very low but to reach the falls we have to walk around 500 meters which is really a good experience. There are two falls one at the front side and one at the back side, the front side of the falls is not good as it has very low water flow level whereas the falls beside it is much better but the height is low. There is no entry charge for the falls. Overall a good water fall to visit with lot of greenery with it & a peaceful place. I have shared some of the pics taken that is captured on the way to falls (while walking)
Not a very beautiful tourist spot, but OK kind. No water in summer, but flourishes during the rains. No guards found nearby or on the way. Due to this the place has become filthy with food waste, plastic waste and even human waste. No proper parking space. Once you park your car, you have to go reverse for about 200 meters as other cars also will be parked on the same roadside.
No maintainence by govt... No water either , check my pics. was a nice walk though.. no parking facility at the entrance...No cleaning of plastic covers and plates since many days, no water is falling ... only a small drip of it - This is summer i agree... but i dont think its being maintained in rainy season either
The area around the fall is really enriching. Sit there for 5-10 minutes anywhere with eyes closed. You'll experience it yourself.
