Pillar rocks is a cluster of three rocks standing over 122 meters tall and proud with all its beauty. It is a popular tourist attraction and looks ethereal with fog surrounding it. Be wary of nasty monkeys who will exploit you for your food and attention. Nevertheless, they make for amusing companions. One can just sit there and absorb the beauty of nature endlessly. The Park nearby is worth a visit too.

  • An amazing spot. You can see Pillar Rock from the viewpoint and take some amazing pictures. If the fog blocks your view, don't worry, the fog will dissipate in a few minutes time. Lots of shops nearby too selling everything from delicious chai to savory chocolates. Come with friends and family at any time of the year. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee that.

  • Constituting of a beautiful mini garden, the place is so named as it has three vertically positioned boulders reaching up to a height of 400 feet. An important attraction is the Devil's kitchen, which is the space between the two¬†rocks. The Potato and onion Bhaji served outside the garden is highly recommended

  • Wonderful and amazing nature view. Mesmerizing view. I suggest travellers to view pillar rocks after 3:30pm to get a clear view. Most of time it's covered by fog. Locals will guide u for a suitable time to view.

  • This is the very first attraction in visitors visiting kodaikanal. It offers natural views of three rocks at the right and deep valley at front and left, the dense forest spread over hundreds of hectares will surely make your visit worth. The entry ticket is 10 rs for adult and 5 rs for children.

  • The best way to view these is when there is a whole lot of fog and then it starts to clear. These rocks show up in glimpses and it is like Pandora/ Flying Mountains of China for no budget. Give it a visit in November and December.
