Pillar Rocks, Kodaikanal Reviews

  • Tourists visit this spot to enjoy the awesome view of three pillar like rocks standing side by side. The height of these rocks are sky reaching but often they are covered with mist and cloud. It depends on good luck to get a clear and full view of the rocks. Down the pillar rocks, a great view of valley and a narrow stream like water falls are available. Free parking is available on the roadside with great difficulty during season time. The road leads to this spot is one way. Many shops and food stalls are available. Visitors have to buy tickets for entry and taking cameras.

  • Rocks looks like individual pillars. But depending upon your luck only its visible to see. Most of the time covered with full mist. The road for the pillar rock is one way. So planning the root is needed. Once you crossed pillar rock and again if you want to visit again you have to travel a little more distance to come again

  • Covered in mist most of the time. These rocks have a unique shape to them. Caves are also located nearby. You can get spectacular views of the nearby hills covered in mist and clouds. There's a park for kids nearby. A must visit if you go to Kodaikanal. You will not regret it.

  • Wonderful place. Can see moving clouds and relax your mood in a minute. Just awesome place to hangout with friends and family. Nature is beautiful!

  • Pillar Rocks viewpoint is awesome. It may happen that due to cloud cover or fog you might not able to see those rocks immediately but spend some time there and let the cover get clear. You will enjoy the view. I myself was disoppentied when I first reach spot as it was all cloudy and could not see rocks but I enjoyed that coud cover for some time and once clouds got clear I could see the beauty behind that cloud cover. I highly recommend to visit this spot.
