The Carlton, Kodaikanal Reviews

  • The best in class hotel near Lake. The two level lawn opens up to the lake. It was 10degrees in March but that doesn't stop us from cycling at 7 am. The rooms are spacious and most of them have lake view and a balcony. Food and spread was good considering the location. However it was not 5* though. Do not miss to ship your tea on the lawn during evening.

  • Gud rooms.Nice location. Services needs to be improved. Valet parking is not available. Bell boys should be sufficient enough for all guest. I had to unload my own luggage and park myself too. Cleanliness needs to be improved.

  • Great property in excellent location. All rooms are facing the lake. Nice garden. Restaurant ambience is good. Service is great. Good taste can be improved.

  • My wife and I spent two nights at the Carleton in February of 2018. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The deluxe room had a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. The food very good with more fresh vegetables than is found in most south Indian restaurants. Everything was immaculate and modern. I spoke at length with the deputy general manager, M. Christopher Kalaichelvan. He was as professional as the manager of any hotel I have visited in over 20 countries. The quality of the service provided by the staff reflected his professionalism.

  • WOW what an delight!!! After a long Journey from Bangalore we reached Kodaikanal by 3:00 p.m. Drive uphill was fantastic with all the greenery, buzzing birds and winter chill in the air. Approach road to the Hotel was good and there was ample parking. We were greeted with warm towels and welcome fresh juice. There was one hotel staff member who was personally greeting the guests and helping them. We got a room with full view of the Lake from the balcony. Hotel reception, lobby, sitting area, lawns, fireplace and restaurant are 5 star. Staff is friendly. We spend most of the time within the hotel and it was amazing
