This place is one of my favorite. This is the best place to be with your family, specially the kid. The types and numbers of animals are quite good, though some of the animals are in bad conditions. Have been there many times. Has nice place to rest and you can even do a small picnic with pre-cooked food. Better to visit during weekdays as the rush is very less. Even if you are free during weekends and holidays, try to avoid big occasions like, New Year, Christmas etc. Visit during winter as the weather is very nice.
The zoo is not like what I saw in the 1980s and 1990s. Many enclosures are empty for years. The Snake house is really fantastic. Aviaries are good but need to be more spacious. But overall it is nice and I visit here at least once in a week.
Overall a good place to visit. Well-maintained. You'll get to see most of the animals you expect to see in a proper Zoo. Clean. Food items available.
Good for picnics. Crowded during winters specially. Over crowded on 25th December, 31st December and 1st January. Try to avoid going at this time of the year. Otherwise everything is good.
Its a well maintained zoo accompanied by beautiful gardens and bird attracting lake. U will find almost every other animal in here under proper care and surveillance. The guards do their job very properly to make sure the visitors don't tease the animals or unknowingly push themselves to danger.
