  • Nice place to visit with kids and family members. A whole day tour. Outside foods are allowed. Restaurants are also available. Online ticket booking facility is also available. You have to show the QR code just to the e ticket counter. Line is comparatively less in e counter. Tigers, lions, giraffes, pelican birds are very nice.

  • It's a really good place for a family outing or a hangout with friends. Many new animals can be found. Viewing the tigers from such a close distance is quite a treat for the eyes (if you are not afraid, that is). Do give it a visit if you haven't visited it yet.

  • Get a break from the pollution and noise of the city. BIG green area. Too many species of Deer and Reptile. The good thing is that they have stopped people bringing plastic bags inside. There is a big impact on the cleanliness because of it. Water, ice cream, fast food and soft drinks are available inside. Overall a nice place for weekends.

  • Alipore Zoological garden is one of the oldest in India. It is spread across very big area with lush greenery. It is a very good place for family picnic. This is almost fully occupied during the winter season (December - February). There are many species of animals present here including Tigers, Lions, Giraffes, Zebra, elephants, crocodiles, hippopotamus, rhinoceros and many other animals and exclusive birds, snakes etc. There is also a Chimpanzee, a rare animal present. Good stalks are present here as well. Overall a nice place to spend Time with family and also have some adventure.

  • Though it is one of the biggest zoo of the country and it a nice place for a family outing But if you are thinking to visit this place having the notion that this would be calm serene place then you should dodge this for sure. This is one heck of a crowded place with surplus people seething and teeming at any given moment. One of the positive thing that I noticed during my last visit was it was much cleaner than the last last time I visited. Still good place for a one time family visit . Avoid this place on Saturdays and Sundays if possible.
