Why I rated it a five star? Because my family enjoys each and every minutes spending here. My son loves being at the Zoo. But it's better to avoid long holidays period and festival time, as during those times it's get too much crowded.
The place is huge and pleasant. People usually come in groups for picnics and sightseeing. It houses a lot of animals and birds from different parts of the country. Best times are mornings, when the animals are fed. After which they go to rest. Giraffes and tigers are the attraction. Lovely for all ages!
The place needs thorough renovation and placing the animals in the enclosures needs to be well designed. Also, proper waste disposal, crowd control, surveillance and proper maps needs to be installed. Most of the cages are too small for the leopards, tigers and the birds which stresses them out easily. Instead of keeping too many animals and birds of the same variety creating space congestion, the zoo authorities may keep just a pair of the species in a spacious enclave.
This zoo gets rather crowded at times, and is relatively small. One can see white Royal Bengal tigers here, who are an endangered species. Many other animals are there, also a birds and snake section. Good for a family picnic, but come in off peak times to avoid the crowds.
The place is OK if u have children with you. U can have fun there and do picnic. But there are very few animals. Place really needs renovation. U have to walk more to see a few attractions
