It is the oldest American Church in India and henceforth considered to be an important part of city’s attractions. It was built on the ruins of the Armenian community and was forged by a known Armenian architect from Iran called Levon Ghevond. Since then it has renovated many times with numerous additions done to it. It is a quaint place nestled in the bustling locality of Old China Bazaar and is greatly admired for its unique architecture that dates as back as 17th century. Come here and stroll through its vast courtyard that passes through the Armenian cemetery and spends some time there. Being the first church of its kind, the place is also called as the ‘Mother Church of the Indian Armenians’. A great place to witness a unique section of Indian history.
