A really good spot for family picnics, amusement for children and adults alike. There's a host of activities you can engage in , although it's so enormous that you'd need to visit it 3-4 times to completely savour the magnificence of the place. The replicas of the seven wonders are definitely the chief attraction and a must visit. The butterfly garden is also nice. The only let down is that there are very few drinking water available and even for that you'd have to walk half a kilometre and pay for it. I think drinking water must be made available for free and with more frequency. Overall, there's lots of parking space and the authorities maintain good level of hygiene and cleanliness. I would recommend not to visit on the holidays like Christmas and New Year because you'd be literally trampled and scampering for a place to put your feet as it's filled to the brim.
The park spread over a huge geographic area. Good place for a family outing or picnic with lots of open spaces and greenery. The prices of the food in the stalls inside is a little steep but the food itself is reasonably good - you can bring in your open food if you want. Golf carts and 'toy trains' are available to take you from one part of the park to another. The number of rides and activities are limited since this is not an amusement park but it was a fun experience overall. The main attraction of the park is the '7 wonders' installation which is basically small replicas of the 7 wonders of the world, which is located near gate number 4. Try visiting on weekdays or not holidays for a non crowded experience and visit with plenty of time in hand if you want to explore the entire area.
a wonderful initiative taken by the government of west Bengal for a healthy environment... this Eco park is the best place for your morning yoga and rejuvenate yourself... on the other hand it is also the best place for family and couples to enjoy and spend their time... spread over more than a land of 450 acres with a huge lake in middle, this place has become a favorite spot for many people in the city.... this park provides you with all kind of recreational activities one being cycling.... and not to worry about the food because this site includes one of the finest restaurants as well serving authentic Bengali cuisines and other foods too, "cafe ekante".... one interesting thing recently introduced is the Japanese garden which depicts several Japanese believes, adding to it is the Japanese restaurant with authentic menu.... the latest addition to this has been the 7 wonders of the world which is grabbing attention of the whole city....
One of the best "Park" experience one can have in the entire East! You should go with ample time in hand to have a glimpse of the major parts if not all. It in fact is almost impossible to grasp the total Park in only 1 day! It is amazingly LARGE! It is so large that you would feel the need of proper conveyance to reach the different zones in the park which are quite far from one another. Mind it - Try to visit on a non-holiday else you will get swarmed by a really HUGE crowd! Take your family. You may carry your food, though okay kind of restaurants are there, along with large sheets to lay of the grass and sit to relax after a long stroll through the aisles by the gardens and the amazing water body in the heart of the park. The authorities should hand over a route map along with the tickets here. Else it is almost certain that you will miss the most of the place just being unaware what to kind where. They can also arrange their in-house guides to help people who can afford spending some extra. But it will be worth spending few extra bucks to watch the entire park at one go! Almost a near perfect experience which can be made better if the authorities can fine tune a few things here and there giving an international experience right in Kolkata!
Very good initiative by government. Very much crowded. Good for family, Young kid, couple, senior citizen. But there are lots of mismanagement while handling crowd. Toilets are not clean, crowded. Few eateries are there inside the park. But people throws unused item here and there, so don't how long they will be able to maintain the cleanliness. Good for walk or running at evening/morning. Entrance are wheelchair or baby pram supported.
