About Millenium Park, Kolkata

This lovely place sits ideally between Vidyasagar Setu and Howrah Bridge and among the top attractions in the city. It only helps that the bustling hangout point is located in the centre of the city and came into existence just recently in the year 2000. People come here to enjoy the greenery and more than that the beauty of Hooghly river which resides alongside it. The highlight remains the numerous trees, and plants along with varied rides. You can always come with your children here who would love to ride them all, not to mention the unforgettable views of Howrah Bridge. A lovely backdrop to click some pictures and enjoy nature at its authentic self.

My review is for couples. I am in a committed relationship with my girl and we went there to spend a good time(it was our first meeting after relationship). I searched on the net and I found Millennium Park as a good couples park. But the reality was different. There were people who wanted to see you kissing and getting cosy.. Even for a single romantic moment we waited for 15-20 mins..Some old guys sat in front of us to see couples. That was very disappointing to see Men who are almost as old as your dad watching desperately to see you getting close to your girlfriend. Worst part was some young guys started nasty comments on couples. Many people just annoyed us. My girl was totally uncomfortable with that kind of atmosphere as people were continuously coming to interruption. In my point of view, if you really love your girlfriend and you are really willing to spend your life with her, this place is not for you. Obviously if you are in a casual hookup and if lust is bigger than love, go there and enjoy. The view of the park is good.. On the river side huge boats and all was good though.

  • If i have to describe this place in a single sentence.. i would say that this is an awesome place Awesome means awesome in every sense The ticket is cheaper than any other park The view is super exciting, the park is full of joy and happiness and cheerful. The best place to visit with your family and friends. The river side view is extremely awesome. If you ever take the ferry to row the river You must visit here once. The view in evening is one of its kind, I guarantee you that You will love this place.😊😊😊😊 Have a great day..😎😎

  • Riverside park.. nice views. Lots of enjoyable fun rides.. especially for kids... Nice place for couples, group of friends. love the river side restaurant. Food quality not bad.

  • Nice location and good place to unwind. But I would request management to take care of the atmosphere and the happenings there. At moments it might not look that comfortable for families specially with kids and couples there at times forget that it's a public place...not to heart anybody's sentiments and acts...but this place being a prime attraction of the might hamper the face value of my city...

  • Not much of a park really but more of a paved stretch by the river and an attempt at beautification. Does have a few joyrides for kids. It's a good place to relax and watch the sights of the river but Prinsep Ghat is far better for photography. Plenty of seating but limited amenities like food or clean public toilets. This place can do much better with more maintenance (they charge an entry fee).

  • Green park just beside river Ganga. The place is refreshing. A nice place to spend your evening with friends. This place has now become a lover's point point so it's better not to take your kids and family members.
