Millenium Park - Review

This lovely place sits ideally between Vidyasagar Setu and Howrah Bridge and among the top attractions in the city. It only helps that the bustling hangout point is located in the centre of the city and came into existence just recently in the year 2000. People come here to enjoy the greenery and more than that the beauty of Hooghly river which resides alongside it. The highlight remains the numerous trees, and plants along with varied rides. You can always come with your children here who would love to ride them all, not to mention the unforgettable views of Howrah Bridge. A lovely backdrop to click some pictures and enjoy nature at its authentic self.

My review is for couples. I am in a committed relationship with my girl and we went there to spend a good time(it was our first meeting after relationship). I searched on the net and I found Millennium Park as a good couples park. But the reality was different. There were people who wanted to see you kissing and getting cosy.. Even for a single romantic moment we waited for 15-20 mins..Some old guys sat in front of us to see couples. That was very disappointing to see Men who are almost as old as your dad watching desperately to see you getting close to your girlfriend. Worst part was some young guys started nasty comments on couples. Many people just annoyed us. My girl was totally uncomfortable with that kind of atmosphere as people were continuously coming to interruption. In my point of view, if you really love your girlfriend and you are really willing to spend your life with her, this place is not for you. Obviously if you are in a casual hookup and if lust is bigger than love, go there and enjoy. The view of the park is good.. On the river side huge boats and all was good though.

  • This place can be describe as a children's park. It used to be a great place but now its just a place where lovers goes to spend some time together. So my recommendation for you is that do not take your kids there and even if you do then do not stay after the sun is down until and unless you want to answer some questions that your kids will have. However, till the sun is up, the kids can have fun as there are a lot of rides there.

  • Surprisingly, the park is also a dropping point for the ferry rides from Howrah station. The garden is very clean, clean toilets, many plants and many flowers. Provides a very good view of Howrah Station and Howrah Bridge. No entry fee for the park. Has vast area as well. Ferry rides from Howrah station to Millennium park is a must. Provides a good view of boats as well. Can test your photography perceptions with the marshy land there

  • Millennium park is one of the best place in Kolkata to spend your evening watching sun to set. It's really a very beautiful place and sunset are really beautiful specially during monsoon. I would recommend every one to visit just hour before ethereal sunset and enjoy the sunset with your dear one

  • Nice location but highly humid environment in summer. There are some kids rides too. A lot couples. Some nice coffee shops. Ticket 10 rs per person. Accessible via ferry too. Paid tolet services. Nothing more exciting.

  • This is big park. Best place to spent time with family, friends and special someone. It is decorated by tree. It is famous children and also couple park. Many ride are available hare. Boating is available hare. Many food stall are situated hare. Good food quality and service is also good.
