Mother's Wax Museum - Review
Located in the New Town area of Kolkata, it is not only one of the rarest museums in the country, but apparently a popular one too. There are many factors that make this wax museum kolkata an exciting place to be in. First of all, the place got its name from Mother Teresa, who had been a significant personality in Indian history. Apart from that, the inspiration of this mothers wax museum also came from Madame Tussauds museum which is deemed to be a renowned museum itself. Wax museum in kolkata established in November 2014. The place houses over 19 full figured statue of different prominent figures. Since it is divided into sections (history, Bollywood, sports etc), you can easily check them out as per your convenience. A fun way to explore and brush up your knowledge, we must say!

Mother's Wax Museum, Kolkata Reviews
The place lacks the professional touch that you would expect out of a wax museum, but sadly it lacks that as evident in many of its statues. Some of them don't even look like real life replicas of the celebrities in question. Though the structures and statues look as if they were made by novices rather than professionals, but a great place to spend time nevertheless. Good for a one time visit.
The museum is well maintained. There are around 50 wax statues of famous personalities from India and other parts of the world. Few are well built but some are not up to the mark at all. Two floors are allocated .. some special attractions are there. You can spend 3hrs inside covering all the items. Overall very good try considering the scarcity of such museums in the country.
Excellent wax museum. Has wax statues of famous people from different walks of life - local, Indian and international. Also has some added sections like a Horror Room (superb!) and a Body Tattoo Room (based on lighting, superb as well). Provided ample opportunities to click really good shots. A selfie stick is recommended though a cellphone would work just fine. Guards are posted in many spots to ensure that statues are not touched or disturbed. Absolutely worth the ticket price. Highly recommended.
This place has some of the sculpture very realistic and exact while others are not so nice. All in all anyone can go and enjoy this place. But the planning of this place was very very bad. The museum is spread in 2 floor. The entry was from the upper floor so we went to the next floor seeing the museum. Than we were sent again to the upper floor to exit which was absurd.
A very good place to spend time with family and friends. There are a number of wax statues of well known persons from all over the world. But the statues of international celebrities are more accurate and realistic than our own ones. Remains open till 7:30pm.
