Such an interesting market, so many activities here, crowded, noisy, dirty..... But so much elements for street photography, a great way to know local people and their way of life. Some people were so friendly. Should visit if you're interested in Indian cultural. Also you can buy some fruits there which a good deal.
If you want to feel the bliss of flowers and then God's and then humans, flower market could be the destination for you. Here you can see scores of people selling the beautiful flowers and you can see temples where people are offering prayers. You have the bathing Ghat to experience the beautiful bathing of people. It gives you an immense pleasure to sit here for long time and just feel the fragrance of Hoogly river. The love for the Ganges will be replicated when you come here to see that.
This is one of the biggest flower market's in India. It opens at 3 am (although the timings are not stringent since it belongs to the unorganized sector) and is open throughout the day. Variety of flowers at wholesale price are available. Usually bulk purchasers come over to buy their quota of requirement and further sell them at other locations, thus the price of flowers are well within reach. For any person visiting here they would be awestruck at the view that it's completely surrounded by flower shops. As the sellers cater to bulk purchasers the shops are not decorated and in most cases they sell in a make shift manner. Its a nice place for some street photography if one has the patience to go through a little bit of stress.
Awesome spot for photography lovers. Largest flower market. Lots of people come here on a daily basis just to deal on flowers. This market is located just beside Howrah Bridge. On the left side. One of the most popular places in Kolkata for photography lovers.
Situated besides the Ganges river, it is the largest flower market in Eastern India. You will the widest range of flowers and decorative leaves here. Despite a large gathering of people, the place is well maintained by KMDA. Recomended
