Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata Reviews - Write a Review
Awesome stadium. Nice place net and clean well structured. I was there for U17 world Cup semi final match. Well matained for heavy crowd. This place have canteen at every level and have bathrooms for both. Bathrooms are net and clean water supplies is proper in bathroom. Only free drinking water there are giving.
Loving it. The biggest in India, biggest in Asia too. Where else can you find a crowd of 1.2 Lac mad football fans. Here for Under17 FIFA world cup football. Loving the stadium. Newly renovated stadium is looking fantastic. New stands and giant screens are awesome. Security is now much higher. New chairs are nice too. I'm coming back again and again. Watching top 10 goals. Loving it.
No other soccer stadium in India is as good as this one. No other soccer stadium in India is as large as this one when it comes to capacity. Its atmosphere is teeming and bustling with activity. Although India is very far away from the top teams in the World, but the way people come here to watch football and give respect to its amazing. It has been recently ameliorated and renovated to accommodate for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Football World Cup. There are lines of washrooms, restaurants, entry gates and exit gates. There is a perfect infrastructure to manage all the electric actions across the stadium. The garden has been designed beautifully.
If you visit this place..you will be simply doubtful that whether you are in India or in other countries. Truly speaking I never imagined that such a beautiful and neat and clean stadium is there in my place. I simply overwhelmed by its cleanliness beauty and vastness. I want to thank our government also for making this place superb....
The stadium is located on E.M. Bypass and has entry gates both from Salt Lake and E.M. Bypass. It is the largest football stadium in Asia and the second largest in the world in terms of its capacity to accumulate spectators. But the total number of seats has decreased after the renovation. The stadium got a new look just before the FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP 2017 with bucket chairs being installed in each and every stand. Not only that, it also got a fresh new paint. The forests inside the arena were cut down to make way for new decorated garden with statues. The entry gates, ramps and each and every place inside the arena has been renovated. The new look stadium can be compared with any great stadiums in the world.
