Club Mahindra Ashtamudi, Kollam Reviews
Excellent property. We stayed in cottages situated right on the backwaters and they were awesome. Food is very good. The chefs were very nice and accommodating and cooked food as per our tastes. The remaining staff was also good. Overall a good destination for a great holiday
Situated on the Lakefront, this is a beautiful property with very scenic views, attentive and cheerful staff. A laid back atmosphere, good for a relaxing stay. I deducted one star since the cost of food is very high keeping in mind, the large amount upfront for taking membership, and an ever increasing annual fee, the charges for food should be much less.
We as a family had a great time at Club Mahindra Ashtamudi. The staff there are very friendly . The resort is very beautiful and the rooms were very nice too.The evening games time was fun where we enjoyed. The food was good but could be better. The view is beautiful and peaceful. Overall a very restful place.
We did a mistake if going in the month of April. It was just too hot. Also otherwise the place is not so great compared to other Club Mahindra. There is literally nothing to do. The boat safari is just a boat trip to a island(Munroe Island) and you walk for 15 mins on the island. Nothing to see or do! The club property itself doesn't have anything to do! No alcohol served! The rooms are neat and clean as always. The boat house is quite an experience and the view from the boat house balcony is great. The swimming pool is small, avoid peak time. The food isn't so great. The staff is great and courteous.Overall a 3 just because it is club Mahindra. Tips- Avoid the summers, go for the boat house.
Went for team outing. Food was below average. Boating was a good experience. The place is calm and serene. Many activities and games are available including fishing. Not the best in town. Staff who handles activities etc were not friendly, sounded like physical education teacher in schools. The way they treat customers isn't the good. Had worst experience in swimming pool. One of my friend discussed the staff about the attire and he agreed. When he was about to enter the pool the staff told him publicly that he cannot enter because he was not wearing swimming pool attire. When he asked why there are others in the pool without proper attire, the staff was speechless and said you can enter. It seems they have different rules for Keralites and tourists outside Kerala. This place is not highly recommended, when you have other options.
