A small beach which is usually known to the people who lives close by. Tourist usually choose Kollam Beach rather than this. Earlier many came here to bath in sea. But now it is restricted due to rough seas. Evening are very beautiful here but after evenings coming with families are not at all recommended. There is place to sit and enjoy the sea as well as for walking
thirumullavaram beach is my best beach in kollam , i usually go there and enjoy.
A beautiful place but some Narrow minded locals are there.. not good for couples
It's a small beach, North of Kollam beach. When I reached out was pretty dark and hence couldn't really appreciate the surroundings. There are no lights at the beach unlike Kollam Beach. I understood from a local that this beach is mainly known for performing the annual last rites for the deceased. There is a Vishnu temple and temple pond adjacent to the beach. So people usually visit this temple, perform the rituals for the deceased and then subsequently immerse the offerings into the sea here at this beach. The police usually doesn't allow anyone to loiter around at or near the beach post dusk. Just a tip, people can walk up to the temple pond adjacent to the beach to just wash their legs/clothing of the sand after spending time at the beach. I believe families would be better served to head to Kollam beach instead for having some fun time.
It's a nice place to sit down and talk with friends and family. There is a nice breeze, but a bit warm maybe. It is a also suitable place if you want to spend sometime with yourself. There are no shops or services available nearby though.
