This is one of Konstanz’s most important civil structures. The first thing you notice is the size – it’s a massive stone building of three stories and a hipped roof. This is because it was built in 1388 as a warehouse for Italian goods from Milan. For the last century though, it’s been used as a restaurant, banquet hall and convention center. Today, they just call it the ‘Council’.
