This is a huge wildlife park that is made up of two parts: the zoological and the botanical side. Among the many residents of the zoo are the Borneo Pygmy elephants, Sumatran rhinoceros, Orang Utan, Proboscis monkey, Malayan Tiger as well as a few species of deer. The botanical component offers visitors the chance to go jungle trekking along the botanical trail. The readily paved trail is approximately 1.4 kilometers long and the botanical component is about 200 acres in size. The aviary is a more lively section where you will hear myriads of sounds of the mynahs, greeting visitors who come to the park. At the aviary, there are many species of birds like the hornbill, pigeons, parrots, eagles, egrets and many more.

There is also a children's section of the zoo that has pygmy elephants, ponies and goats. Children can also enjoy elephant rides here.

  • A very good place for the kids to visit. There are proboscis monkey that only found in Borneo island. The animal show at 11am is not to be missed. Not a big zoo but there are well manage and good education trip for the young. Entrance fees are reasonable. Parking is convenient and free.

  • We enjoyed the experience, but thought that some of the animals in their enclosures were not looking too good. The Elephants were good & they looked happy, the sun bear was alone & should have had a mate. Overall it was good & worth the trip.

  • The animals so freindly. You can call them and they will respond to your call. It's good to be here.

  • My son and niece so happy when we visited this zoo 2 weeks ago. The elephants, orang utan, probosis monkeys, bears make them so happy. The zoo is quite big so you better put on your sport gears of something comfy. As we strolled around, i could see some of the female tourist looked exhausted because they wore heels. Overall the zoo is okay but i think some of the animals habitat were not suitable for them. Maybe the zoo management should improved the bears cage.

  • A good place to see animals including those unique to Borneo island, e.g. Proboscis Monkey, Orang Utan, Pygmy Elephant. Some facilities are getting old and needed repair. The show is short but interesting. The feeding session was cancelled without proper announcement. Could be better.
