Miraikan, Koto Reviews
Been there for 4hours, the exhibition is amazing. Not only showing the most updated scientific news and the frontier of fundamental physics, it also reminds us of the nature of science. What is life , what does it mean to be alive and how to make humanity survive in the future. It’s a museum for adults, packaged as a kid’s museum. For fathers and mothers, don’t find a place to sit and wait for your kids, look around and you too, will find yourself amazed by the new discoveries of science and the inner search of identity as a human.
This museum is definitely worth checking out. A wide variety of exhibitions that demonstrate various modern and historical technologies. It is a very hands on experience, so it is great for children and adults alike. They have various short films that you can view in their dome. The one we saw about string theory and the different dimensions was.. Interesting. Not the best quality in terms of graphics, but the content was engaging. It is slightly out of the way, however is near some other interesting sites and museums that you can see while you on are on this little island, including a ferris wheel. Recommended!
This is one of the best museums I've been to in my life...I like science and technology. Make sure to get the app before you go. This is an all day outing. They have great food available on the premises. Easy access via the train. This is a must do when visiting Tokyo.
Well spent time, wish we had all day as three hours was not quite enough especially if you buy Dome Theater tickets. The ASIMO demonstration was entertaining, I wish they would expand on it. Lots of useful and informative exhibits targeted at the younger curious minds with a good focus on sustainability and forward thinking. Perfect for teens but also recommended for anyone who enjoys science and technology, well worth the reasonable entrance fee of around 620 yen per adult or 400 yen per student.
Interactive museum of futuristic Japanese technology. Interesting for young and not so young, great facilities. Cafeteria is good, although you might have to wait a bit to order, but then food served quickly. Interesting gift shop.
