Phi Phi Islands, Krabi Reviews
The great place to visit, stay enjoyment no matter either you with friends or alone. Natural beauty attract you, to enjoy the movement. It's also best place for honeymoon. Newly wedding couple can understand each other in this beautiful weather. Please Go there once in life. Money no matter always.
Phi Phi island is one of the best beach destination in Thailand. The calm and quiet environment and multi optional task opportunity makes it special to all age groups. One can enjoy live music, fire dance etc in the evening and multiple water activities in day time. Prepare yourself for lots of stairs! once you make it to the first viewpoint and pay your entrance fee, the bulk of the rest of the way is only mildly uphill with short bursts of stairs. The view is worth the hike in my opinion and I would try to make it to the third platform for sunset. Just an FYI, they don't allow alcohol on the site. The stair ways and hike is exhausting, its not uncommon to pass people or watch people pass you, there were groups with a "coach" encouraging others along the way. The large platform at the 3rd overlook is not for those who are scared of heights or where you want to let your kids run free. The walk down, while easier felt a little scarier as i was headed down in the dark. “SUPER!!!”
Phi Phi Island is really beautiful however it is being ruined by the human race :( They can not keep up with the amount of tourists who visit and pollute the ocean. The amount of rubbish that lines the streets, sand and sea is absolutely disgusting. This place has left us infuriated with the human race. We also discovered after going for a walk to find a secluded beach that the wasteland also trails into the ocean. This would explain the brown filth in the ocean that extends out to monkey beach. Highly would not recommend swimming in it if you value your health. It’s hard to understand how people can come here to party and throw their rubbish anywhere. So bloody angry! Especially when most of these people dress and act like ‘hippies’. We even saw piles of rubbish and scattered rubbish on the walk up to the Phi Phi viewpoint. Yes, there is very limited bins but you hold onto it and put it in the bin at your accommodation. There is also bags of rubbish everywhere - they just can’t keep up with the huge crowds that visit. We feel bad for just being here as even though we refuse plastic, pick up bags of plastic we are still contributing! This place should be a day trip only experience. We only have one ocean. Oh and if you like seafood it’s most likely that the animal you are eating is eating the plastic in the ocean!!!
Very beautiful place. Must visit. There is option of scuba diving but need one night stay if you want to do that. You need to reach the scuba diving center around 8 AM to avail services (as a first time diver. I dont know the system for experienced divers). Snorkeling was a good experience... swimming with the fishes in the coral reef.
Beautiful islands (if a little too touristy with the buckets of drink etc) but you can find your little slice of heaven if you look for it! Recommend a private longtail boat and going early. The viewpoint is well worth it (see pic). Please please please pick up your rubbish as plastic is everywhere on the island!!!
