The first church on this location both in the first half of the 12th century was in Romanesque style. Or the 17th 18th and 19th centuries various renovations bestowed upon it a baroque facade. However Romanesque and Gothic elements can still be seen inside the church. Make sure to check out the crypt, which is the oldest part of the complex. See the Baroque altar, and the classical colonnade. The church monastery is said to have an important collection of prints, textiles, and religious decorative art. The church runs a religious school for girls here. Ask the locals about the Legend of the Sunken Bell, and the merchant who survived an attack by the Tatar horde.
