This 1335 church Gothic church was commissioned by King Casimir III the Great. It’s said that after a theft, a miraculous light revealed the location of the church treasure box nearby, where the thief had abandoned it in guilt. The first thing people usually notice is the unusually shaped bell tower. Once you step inside though, the overlapping between the Polish Baroque and Polish Gothic immediately stands out. The decorations are majestic. The highlights of the church include a 1750 boat-shaped pulpit, a grand and gilded and towering 1634 high altar with choir stalls from just five years before that, and a statue of a burgher who used to patronise the church. The gilded furniture is pretty too! Make sure to visit during the day, when the light shining in through the stained-glass windows is magical. There’s a cemetery next to the church.

Truly gorgeous church the interior is breathtaking! My friend and I tried to go in and we were asked to cover up our shoulders or leave. A polite sign outside would of helped with the confusion. Just went to a local shop and bought a cheap scarf to cover our shoulders. Well worth a visit although I would have a shawl handy!
If you are in Kazimierz, this catholic church is a must see. The inside is breathtaking, a real gem. There is a sign at the entrance showing that pictures or video are not allowed inside, otherwise I would have take plenty of pics.
It looks more impressive on the inside.
Wow. That's all I can say. Take a look for yourself.
