20th Century theatre director and artist Tadeusz Kantor established this Museum in 1980 as a record of the achievements of his own production company, as well as a space to explain his own theatre philosophy. Visitors to the building will be immediately struck by its bizarre and striking appearance that looks like a combination of rusted iron and black glass. There's an exhibition exploring the thematic importance of his work, a theater, a cafe with great views of the Vistula River from the top floor, a bookshop, and launches space for temporary exhibitions, events and workshops. It's a fascinating place to be introduced to experimental theatre.
