Even though this Museum isn't very prestigious, it's quite old and does have an interesting collection worth checking out if you are in the university area. It was formed in 1865. The most interesting exhibit at the Museum focuses on the geological structure of the land around Krakow, including fossils found there and how the structure was investigated. There are also various publications for purchase at the museum focusing on topics such as sacred art, meteorite, difference of art, prehistory and the nature. The paleontology description isn’t bad either. Also interesting is the color copies of historical maps of Krakow that show how the city grew over time.
