Nestled in the foothills of Velebit, the Manastir Krupa was established in 1317, during the reign of King Milutin. Overlooking the Krupa River, this Serbian Orthodox monastery is the oldest of its kind in the country. Although experiencing a number of invasion and devastation, the Manastir Krupa has been able to preserve some of the valuable cultural and spiritual testimonies including the guarded Icons made by Jovan Apache in the style of Italian Critic School and the stone donated by Rmnja Monastery. Other features of the exhibits are scholarly books, some of which dating back to centuries.
