About Aquaria Klcc, Kuala Lumpur
There are over 5000 animals, land and water-based, here. The aquarium is very cleverly designed - you basically just walked through in one line. It takes you through different kinds of marine or water worlds - jungle, coral reef and open-ocean. These cover animals such as piranhas, sharks, electric eels, starfish, otters, stingrays. There are three major sections – Level 1, the tunnel, and Level 2. The 90 metre long tunnel is undoubtedly the best part of the aquarium. It gives you the feeling of being totally submerged as sharks and stingrays swim around you. Some of the main exhibits are:
- The Butterfly Section
- The Weird and Wonderful Section
- Amazon Flooded Forest
- The Coast
- The Coral Discovery Section
- The Stream
The aquarium also has a diving program. There are two ways to going to the water - caged or un-caged. You can only go in the un-caged way if you have a diving certificate. Though you will have to sign a liability form, don’t worry, the sharks are all domesticated.

Aquaria Klcc, Kuala Lumpur Reviews
The best place I have visited. Aquatic lovers this is a place for you all. Great moments to be here. You get to see all marine fishes including rare fishes like Rock fish. The best is the tunnel where you can watch ray fish, shark and others just next to you. Totally a great place . It's not very expensive as well. Kids will love n enjoy here.
Nice, well maintained but smaller than Bangkok one. However, best in Malaysia. Like other places, here also have different rate for foreigner. One hour to two hours are okay to visit depending on interest. The tunnel aquarium is fitted with auto-belt as well as walking path, however auto-belt needs to be used. The tunnel is narrower than expectation.
It was nice experience to see all the sea life there. You can see all different types of fish here which is available around Malaysian sea area. They have maintained the place very well and it's good to take your kids to show them sea life. All the fish here are in big tanks and the have one underwater walkway in one of the big tank. If you are visiting the city Kuala Lumpur then surely visit this place, it's a good experience.
Wonderful place. I would highly recommend, especially if you are a fan of marine life or nature. Staff very friendly, ticket price very reasonable. I had to rush the last section as I needed to catch a flight. In other words, I would stayed longer if I had time.
A must-visit if you are staying in KL for more than 2 days: you'll spend more than 3 hours strolling through the numerous interactive fish exhibits and be engrossed in the variety of species on display. One of the best parts are the shark petting (yes...) and the undersea tunnel full of large fish, including rays, sharks, tortoises etc... Make sure to disable the flash of your smartphone camera so as not to disturb the creatures...
