About Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, Kuala Lumpur
This is the largest and best butterfly park in the world. The block is a landscaped garden, 80000 metres square. Altogether, there are about 5000 butterflies, in about 125 species. To keep the butter flies in, a net has been spread high over the park. 15000 plants, and some fish and turtle ponds have gone into trying to create the best imitation of the butterfly’s natural tropical habitat. Needless to say, the garden is exquisite all by itself. Limestone paths will guide your feet through the park. At its end, you’ll come upon a information centre/museum, and a souvenir shop. Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, Kuala Lumpur Reviews
Hey all its wonderful park very knowledgeable u will find variety of butterflies.. Can say palace for butterflies.. Nice to see different butterflies... Good for kids nice place for photography... Small souvenir shop is there u can take some memorebals.. Gifts ... They have baggage drop.. So u can easily walk.. Not too big but short and sweet...
Butterflies serve as the main attraction. Although thousands are stated, there are only a handful types can be seen flying. These butterflies are supplied from outside, which explains some limitations. You are lucky if you see a pod outside their supplied boxes. There are other attractions such as koi pond; a lot of koi fish and insects gallery; live and preserved. I still feel a 90s vibe inside the gallery which should be refreshed to stay relevant and interactive. Good for family with kids but they would surely be more interested with the fish than the butterflies though. That tells.
Customer service was really bad, the Indian lady at the ticketing counter made fun of us because we are Malaysian and couldn't speak Malay, however I still could understand simple Malay. I didn't grew up in Malaysia, was just going back to visit my hometown and wanted to had fun. The whole place was like a sauna, was drenched from top to bottom when we left the place. Would recommend to give this place a miss. KL Bird Park is so much better.
Feels like going to a mini forest. You can see a lot of butterflies and got exhibition hall which you can see other insects. The entrance fees is affordable compared to bird's park and zoo.
We took three grand children aged 10; 7 and 5. They were thrilled and enjoyed not only the variety of butterflies and the environment BUT also were given opportunity by the keeper to touch and feel. Based on our experience, may i suggestvyou keep at least 1.5hrs to enjoy including the museum. There are drinks at the gift shop and they sell butterfly items. Highly recommended
