Menara Kl Tower, Kuala Lumpur Reviews - Write a Review
My family came here for a lunch buffet at Atmosphere 360 during weekdays. We had to choose between 2 different time slots, whether 11. 30 am to 1.00 pm or 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm. We took the 1.30 pm slot. Upon arriving at 1.20 pm, we saw a long queue to get into the elevator and go up to the restaurant. We had to queue for a good 15 minutes before we were able to get into the elevator. So come early if you want to be in front of the queue. Once there, you can choose between window side table which you have to pay extra RM 25 to enjoy the view. You will need to fork out more for dinner. Table further in no extra charge. Overall, the food was great, staffs were friendly and the view was spectacular. After the meal, you can go down to the observation deck to enjoy the view.
Parking can be a problem at certain time especially during school holidays. 2 entrance price, one for the outdoor and indoor observation and the other one for indoor observation deck only. The latter is cheaper. Malaysian get a cheaper rate. There is a revolving restaurant as well but reservation is highly recommended and smart casual dress code applies.
I didn't see a warning in the other reviews that you really need to turn up at the Tower in Taxi or a bus. There is some parking for cars but not much. We made the mistake of walking as our hotel was not far away. Big mistake. The entrance road is not that easy to find, and it is a long uphill slog to the Tower in the heat. There are some steps, but they are not obvious and they are steep. You still need to walk a fair way alongside the access road. The Tower itself is showing its age though there are works going on to update the visitor area. Currently it is tired and scruffy. There are some small cafe and shops at the base where you can but a cold drink. Thank goodness.
The view is awesome, but you have to pay around 50RM for a visit to the observation deck. I would rather recommend you book a table at the rotating restaurant which also includes access to the observation deck. Food options were very good compared to some bad reviews. I even had ox-tail. Dinner buffet is very expensive but if its a special occasion for a special one, go for it, otherwise lunch buffet is great. You have to book in advance.
Incredible place! It’s really nice to try flying in the upper level .. above all other buildings in KL and see them all from above in the evening time .. Nice view .. Good experience to have photos in the upper deck .. and the Glass Sky Box
