Though there’s not much to do at this Lake Park (Sentul Park is a private community and most of the park is open only to residents), it’s worth visiting to quickly touch base with history.

In 1904, this was the location of the Central Railway Workshops, which assembled and serviced the carriages of the Federated Malay States Railway, and housed the workshops in which their parts were built. The workshops were bombed during WWII, and never recovered, though the colonial buildings still exists. For sometime, the area was golf course, but now has been privatised.

The parts of the park you can visit are the KLPAC (Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre), the Koi food (pet fish food) Centre, a portion of the lake edge and the two restaurants. The performing arts centre frequently hosts events and is worth following online, just in case there is an exhibition that interests you.
