  • Small but neat and well maintained temple. It's in a remote place with no commercial activity around. So one has to carry water bottles, food and other basic requirements if coming from a long distance. The scenic drive from kumbakonam to this temple is a nice experience.

  • Neat temple. This temple is situated in lonely place away from the busy roads. you will find the place is surrounded by coconut farm. Superb place to visit

  • Good ancient temple in carpenter street...uthvaganathaswamy temple... spacious car parking available..Rooms are not available here..one should plan the trip i.e. temple will be closed from 12 noon to 4 'o clock.

  • Great temple with special for kethu bhagawan. Here we can see the milk poured on the kethu statue changes to blue colour from white, due to kethu power. The temple is situated in a small village, so you need to get all basic needs from nearby tows only. All navalgraham temples are situated in and around kumbakonam. very nice atmosphere with pure village air, u can't get this in busy city life. The main lord is Shiva here, but special for kethu.

  • The temple is located in a very remote area that on the way to Poompukar from sirkazhi or mayiladuthurai you have to take a right at dharumakulam, 2kms before poompukar beach and on that side road for 2 more kms. No buses available but you can take an auto for 50-60 rs from darumakulam busstand. This is one of the navgraga temple for God Kethu (God with head of snake and body of human). For those who want to lighten agal vizhakku temple management provides a plate of seven lamps with kollu a grain inside temple itself
