You will be delighted to watch Kalaripayuttu which is 3000-year-old south Indian martial arts at Kadathanadan Kalari Centre. The gallery is built in such a manner that you will get to watch various cultural and other sporting functions from a safe distance at this beautiful centre. You will be delighted to watch this life-saving art which is the oldest fighting system in existence. You can also come and learn a lot about Kalaripayuttu, sword fighting and other martial arts along with Kathakali and other dance forms at Kadathanadan Kalari Centre. The dedication and synchronization of the artists performing here are worth mentioning.

Kalari presentation was nice. Acts are of very short time. Every act should be presented for more time. Last fire acts were breath taking. Kathakali act was also very good
They arrange both Kalari and Kathakali. Anyone watching the shows for the first time would surely enjoy them. However, without showing any disrespect to all involved (and we are not experts as well), we felt, people who have watched Kalaripayattu in other places might find this show a bit monotonous (have seen it in few other places). For us, most of the stunts look too 'staged'. While juniors were more energetic, seniors could think of improvising the stunts to make it more interesting and would have been happier and excited to see Grandmaster showing his skills more often. Kathakali was okayish. Too much noise from nearby fair ground (flower festivals were on) created lots of disturbances too. Facility could be maintained in a better way. On overall basis, good initiative but could be managed better.
The artists are talented and very skillful. The show was breath taking. Must watch for the tourists. They also allow the spectators to take pics with weapons.
Awesome show. Must watch if you are visiting Thekkady
Kalari Indian Martial Arts The show was exhilarating. They use swords, shield, dagger, sticks and knife in Kalari
