Mudra Cultural Centre - Review

This art center is not exactly a tourist destination. But, if you want to learn about culture and history of Kerala, then you must attend shows here. Mudra arranges shows of Kathakali and Kalaripayattu. Kathakali, the seventeenth-century dance form in Kerala, is a story-telling dance performance. Even the makeup of the performing artists is as important as an event itself. Kalaripayattu is an ancient martial art originated in Kerala. There are four stages of the training and not everyone can complete them. The center hosts many shows throughout the year. So, check their website and book your tickets well in advance.

Demonstration of Nav rasa (nine emotional states) and depiction of emotions (mother's love for her child) etc through facial expressions and body language was superb !
