This art center is not exactly a tourist destination. But, if you want to learn about culture and history of Kerala, then you must attend shows here. Mudra arranges shows of Kathakali and Kalaripayattu. Kathakali, the seventeenth-century dance form in Kerala, is a story-telling dance performance. Even the makeup of the performing artists is as important as an event itself. Kalaripayattu is an ancient martial art originated in Kerala. There are four stages of the training and not everyone can complete them. The center hosts many shows throughout the year. So, check their website and book your tickets well in advance.

We saw Kathakali dance here. It was great experience. The dancer was well trained. Ticket also costs only Rs 150 per person. I also tried little bit in assistance of dancer.
Very happy to be a part of this country where these type of arts are flourishing. Martial arts are very astonishing Kathakali is a dance form wherein there is no lip movement and all the story is narrated only by the mudra and eyes. Superb
Costs around ₹500/2 people for the ticket. They have few show options. They generally start in the evenings. Can see the Kerale style dance and katakhali here. There are 2 mudra centers - old and new. So don't get confused.
Everyone should experience this once. The artists are very professional. Worth 200 bucks you pay.
