Kuta Beach, Kuta Reviews
A very lively beach. We went for the sunset and the way beach is gave it a special status. The curved beach gave a very good view of the seamless sea and a good view of the landing flights. The beach didn't have too many hawkers disturbing you every now and then. There were lot of surfers trying to learn surfing. There were lot of westerners relaxing in the beach scantily covered for the warm feeling, I guess. The walk on the beach is a memorable one. Taxis are immediately available once you step out of the beach. Lot of shacks which provide chairs and umbrellas were there serving their customers.
We love Kuta beach. It's big and friendly and not a place for posers. There's space for everyone. Spontaneous games of football at low tide. Cheap drinks and icecreams whenever you need one. Massages under the trees. The surf is up most of the time, and it's easily the best place to learn to surf we've ever seen.
Definitely on the pass list if you are going to the beach to actually have a relaxing time. I assume the beach is good during surf season. in July it was collapsed with australian and french tourists from tour operators. the locals are trying to scam you any chance they get (saw a group of young people asking a tourist to pay... to join their football game). the sunset was pretty but then again, I guess any other beach on the east coast of Bali will provide that
Once go there, you will feel so refresh. Even there are so many people and how worse the traffic to go there, once you see the waves and feel the vibes you will forget all of your stress. Kuta is one of the popular beach in Bali and a beach where you have to go when you are in Bali. The sunset is pretty good. But when you go there please don't leave any trash because we have to make Kuta back to be a clean beach in Bali. And I upload some pics there and it comes beatifully.
Was a lovely beach and lots available to do there. It is patrolled between the flags so you can feel safer out there. Plenty of people out surfing. Was tough though, it's like being attacked by seagulls the minute you step onto the beach people are pushing to sell you stuff. Loved watching the squirrels and trying to feed them too, that was an experience I couldn't get at home. I didn't need it but was warned you need some small change to use the toilets there.
