  • This bowl of noodle explained why from 5am to 2am this shop has q outside . It's a beautiful soup base which served up a serious umami punch. It is complex in flavours but isn't thick nor sticky like other intensely flavoured ramen. The soup was surprisingly light and coats every mouthful of noodles. The noodle had texture and stayed firm throughout the time I was eating it. Simply amazing .

  • i waited for 45mins and i will definitely not do that again, the noodle is good and tasty, but a bit salty.

  • This ramen shop is very popular and busy. Although they run the business 21 hours everyday, the queue is there always especially during lunch hour, dining hour and supper. If you’re at Kyoto station and waiting for train to other places, you may consider to visit this ramen shop and try their special ramen and fried dumpling. Just 5-10 mins walking distance. The noodle is supplied by 近藤制麺. Interesting thing, they deliver all noodles through the windows. If you’re expecting their noodle like 一风堂 or 一蘭, you’ll be disappointed as they sell quantity with reasonable quality.

  • Geez, I don’t think I can find any shittier service attitude than this one in Kyoto, we were not greeted, the waiter didn’t introduce the menu, simply held the menu in his hand and, at a volume that nearly sounds like yelling, said “big, medium, small”, and said nothing else, didn’t even tell us how much when we paid, and the noodle wasn’t even good....I dun get why ppl would want to line up for this store

  • Definitely not the best ramen I've had. Noodles was a bit soggy, charsiew was average, and soup was too salty. That said, the portion was huge, especially for the price. Came at 1030pm and had to queue for 45 mins.
