  • Pretty good location - 10 minutes walk from Gion, 20 minutes or so to Nijo castle and 30 minutes walk from Kyoto station. Lots of great restaurants nearby too. Hotel itself is generally good, though very functional - not much character or charm if that's what you're looking for. The laundry facilities were really useful as we were on a long trip and are only 500 yen. Bed was really comfortable. Main issue was the loo which was tiny, sloped downwards, and so really difficult to sit on! Also there was barely any legroom in front of the toilet. Other than that totally fine and good value. Staff very friendly and helpful - they helped send our bags onto a future location.

  • Modern hotel with convenient location. Rooms are well equipped but a bit small. I assume that in Japan this is not a surprise. Beds are comfy and the hotel has a cozy atmosphere. We had a room overlooking a side street, so we could sleep with windows open, rooms overlooking the main street might be a bit noisier. Nishiki market and Nijo castle is within walking distance, Kyoto station is just two stops away. Few busses stop nearby which can take you directly to Kinkaku-ji and other places. Staff is very friendly and you will get a complimentary bottle of water every day.

  • Modern and clean hotel close to public transports. Daily complementary bottle of water offered for each customer :) No breakfast offered but plenty of cafes and restaurant in the neighbourhood. There is no English TV channel in the bedrooms.

  • Friendly reception, ok sized room but a decent bathroom. Clean although could do with a good hoover around the edges with the wee nozzle ;)

  • Decent Hotel in a good location, bathroom didn't smell great but everything else with it was good. Not the most comfy bed but lots of amenities and very friendly staff
