The Maginot Line is a line of concrete obstacles, fortifications and weapon installations that was built by the French army to deter invasion by the German army. Ouvrage Galgenberg is one of the portions of the Fortified Sector of Thionville of the Maginot Line and was tasked with controlling the Moselle valley. Post the World War 2, Galgenberg did not see any activity and hence was decommissioned and has now been turned into a museum. At the museum, visitors can view the automatic rifle cloches, machine guns, infantry cloches, and many other weapons and technologies that the French army used during the war period.
