Chateau de La Rochepot is a 12th- century castle of neo-Gothic-Burgundian style, rebuilt in the 15th century. In the 19th century, it was completely restored and covered with glazed burgundy tiles. It lies in the commune of La Rochepot. Near the medieval town of Nolay and standing on the rocky outcrop of Roche-Noley, this stately fortress with its multicoloured roofs offers a romantic image of ducal Burgaundy. During your tour, you will discover the chapel, the guard room, kitchen, rooms with colourful murals and Gothic and Renaissance furniture. In the courtyard, the well, 70m deep, was dug directly into the rock. This castle is set deep in the forest and is surrounded by creepers.
