Overlooking the bays of Lazaret and Toulon, the villa was built by Jean-Blaise Marius Michel for his first wife; today the palatial residence has been converted to a leading centre for contemporary art. About 15 exhibitions are held every year in contemporary painting, photography, with some focus on the style of Narrative Figuration. There is also a permanent collection at the villa – about 400 works by 102 different artists; these include paintings, prints, photographs and drawings… and also sculptures.
From the windows of the exhibition hall on the third floor, remember to check out the fantabulous view of the bay.

Beautiful building in lovely location.
Face à la baie de Tamaris, ce magnifique musée propose des expositions d’art contemporain de très belle qualité. Le lieu est vaste, magnifiquement éclairé, et est un espace culturel très porteur dans la région. L’entrée et bien entendu gratuite.
Beau panorama sur la rade depuis la grande terrasse et expos intéressantes.
