Owing to its long stretch of 4 kilometres, nearby restaurants, hotels and the view of the ocean unlike any other place in Lagos, the Meia Praia is one of the most popular beaches in the city. The sheer size of the beach is what makes its a perfect spot to spend an afternoon at. You are sure to find a quiet spot for yourself in spite of the number of visitors and the crowded bars and restaurants that line the place. Rent a beach lounge and soak up the sun as you enjoy the view while sipping on your favourite drink or simply take a refreshing swim in the ocean. The beach is also famous for water sports including wind surfing, kayaking, fly boarding, pedal boating, stand-up paddle boarding, banana boat rides, parasailing, kite surfing and jet skiing. When here don’t forget to take a walk along the eastern side of the beach that is rather quaint and is loved by naturists.
If you are looking to explore the nightlife in Lagos, don’t miss out the neighbouring bars and pubs. And for photography lovers- the entire stretch of Meia Praia is your backdrop!

Looks beautiful but we couldn't find a parking spot...
Beautiful long beach with enough place for everyone, also in the August!
Lovely stroll and paddle along a fantastic beach
Quiet, large beach with bars and restaurants close. Walkable from Lagos.
One of the best beaches I've been on. Even for Portugal that's full of good beaches, this is a great one. Well worth a visit. It's so large I can't ever imagine it being crowded.
