If you are looking for a tranquil spot in Lagos where you can unleash the adventure junkie within, head to the Praia do Porto de Mos- a 4 kilometre long, sparsely crowed beach that offers the best of water sports in Lagos. Owing to the unsheltered beach area with shallower cliffs adorning its periphery, this beach is one of the windiest beaches around the city. You can rent a chair here to lounge under the sun or simply carry a picnic basket with yourself to relish on some good food after a relaxing swim in the ocean.
The beach is best known for offering Kayaking tours and if you love nature, the surrounding cliffs have some of the easiest and scenic hiking trails. The beach is also popular for surfing and body boarding. A walk to the Ponta da Piedade lighthouse is a common activity around the beach and is perfect to end the day to see the city’s coast after a quick bite at one of the nearby restaurants.

Praia Do Porto De Mos Reviews & Ratings
Great long sand beach with a cliffs above it. Enough place for everyone. In the morning is low tide so you can take a walk. After 2 pm, after the tide, beach is half smaller but still beautiful . Two restaurants with good service. Good for small children also. Its a best beach in Lagos.
Superb beach with plenty of parking. 2 great restaurants/bars for snacks or meals - open in the evening but better to book a table. Definitely visit if you are in Lagos!
The water is safe to dive and the beach is well taken care of. It is said, however, that it is very windy (never felt it, but only been there twice in 4 years). If you want to take a walk or a run to the right side (facing the ocean) you will end up on a spot where the water is nearly green, and that's pretty; also, it's a good spot for photos. Usually overcrowded in the summertime, but only near the bar; if you walk to the right for 150m you'll have all the space you can wish for.
Really well looked after beach. There's free parking outside (around 100 spaces) and toilets. There are a few beach bars. I recommend bringing an umbrella if you can, just to escape the heat every now and then. It was 32c when we went.
Fantastic beach with close proximity to places where you can get food and drinks. Great for spending the day. The water is calmer than other places and is good for a swim.
