This naturally sustaining marsh land extends well beyond 50,000 acres and is a natural habitat for many animal and bird species like alligator, snakes, turtles, ducks, squirrels and many more. The most famous attraction of White Lake Wetlands, conservation Area is the Whooping Crane which was about to become extinct but has been revived because of this protected area. Bird lovers and photographers will be especially delighted to walk through the two-mile long bird watching and nature trail that is built along the northern elevated deck for birdwatching and photography.
