  • We decided to make this our last stop during our weekend in the Poconos. It was only 20 minutes out of our way on the trip back home, and it was completely worth it. It was a blast hopping across the rocks and we got a ton of amazing pictures. Definitely unlike any other place I have ever seen...

  • You can get there without an PA toll road E-Z Pass, but be aware that your GPS might tell you to exit at a no cash exit. I had to dispute a fine by showing that I had indeed taken a ticket when I entered the turnpike in West Chester. The road to the boulder field can be traversed with any car. No 4x4 required if going between spring and early fall. Best time of year to go is late September to mid October.

  • Such a weird cool place. Nice sign explaining how this was formed. Careful with the ankles, we had a blast exploring.

  • neat to see. kinda lame that parking lot is 25 ft away

  • This section within Hickory Run State Park is unique, at least as far as I know. It is, as its name would suggest, a field filled with boulders! The boulders range in size from a small car to bowling ball and even smaller. In some sections it is possible to hear Hawk Run flowing somewhere below the field. There is a trail from Hawk Falls to Boulder Field, which is a nice hike of a few miles each way or you can simply drive right up to the field. Informational signage describes the processes involved in the field's creation. Interesting place.
