The Lake Placid Olympic Sports Complex is a winter sports complex that is situated at the foot of the Mount van Hoevenberg, some 7.5 miles south of Lake Placid. This complex is a part of the Olympic Regional Development Authority and was created following the 1980 Winter Olympics. The Olympic Sports Complex consists of a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track apart from trails that facilitate biathlon and cross-country skiing. The annual Winter Empire State Games are held here apart from many other notable events.
