The Great Egret Marsh Nature Preserve is a lovely nature reserve located near the town of Lakeside Marblehead and features more than 150 acres of marsh and surrounding reforested upland. The park’s marshes are part of the West Harbor Basin. In 2013, with the help of Clean Ohio Conservation Fund grant, this preserve was created to conserve the coastal habitat along Lake Erie. Activities here include kayaking, fishing, hiking, bird-and wildlife-watching.
Great Egret Marsh Nature Preserve Reviews & Ratings
Went here 2 weeks ago. It was awesome! Very peaceful, even saw an eagle sitting in a tree overlooking the marsh. Highly recommend if you like nature and appreciate the beauty of it.
Beautiful and relaxing. Worth going! Plenty of parking.
This is a great place to watch shorebirds quiet and peaceful very relaxing
Love the fact that TNC has moved aggressively to preserve this property. Many shore birds, waders, ducks, and marsh birds. An abundance of loons nesting. Can't wait for the boardwalk completion.
